Words of Promise 약속의 말씀
“이제 인내와 안위의 하나님이 너희로 그리스도 예수를 본받아 서로 뜻이 같게 하여 주사 한마음과 한 입으로 하나님 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하려 하노라 이러므로 그리스도께서 우리를 받아 하나님께 영광을 돌리심과 같이 너희도 서로 받으라” (로마서15장 5절~7절)

한마음교회는 이름이 주는 의미 그대로 ‘하나된 마음’ ‘넓은 마음’ 그리고 ‘하나님의 마음’을 지향하는 교회라는 뜻입니다. 교회의 본질적인 사명인 영혼구원과 세계선교를 향해 독수리처럼 비상하기도 전에 분열의 아픔을 겪으면서 날개 꺾인 참새처럼 아파하고 신음하는 모습들이 이민교회 안에 많이 자리 잡고 있습니다. 따라서 한마음교회는 ‘서로 하나가 됩시다’ 라는 그 자체가 목적이 아니라, 한마음은 기본이고 그 위에서 교회의 핵심 가치인 지상사명을 감당해나가자는 취지의 의미입니다.
The Korean word 'Hanmaum' can have various meanings such as 'one heart,' 'grand heart,' and 'God's heart.' These meanings envision the direction and vision of the church. Before the church can soar high like an eagle and reach the goals of saving lost souls and world evangelism, many churches face the problem of division. Like a fragile sparrow with a broken wing, churches all over endure pain and suffering. Striving for unity within the church community is a clear and obvious value that most churches share. The goal of HIBC is to become unified through following the core value of the Great Commission, achieving complete unity through the shared goals of accomplishing the task given to believers.
“Being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose" (Phil 2:2).
